Description

A high-protein, creamy mac and cheese inspired by Philly cheesesteaks.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Dry Macaroni
  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Chopped White Onion
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 2 cups Bell Peppers (Red, Green & Yellow)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 8 oz Light Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella
  • 4 slices Light Cheese Slices
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Flakes
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water. Cook macaroni until al dente. Reserve 125ml pasta water.
  2. Sauté garlic, onion, and bell peppers in butter.
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned.
  4. Drain fat. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  5. Stir in cream cheese, mozzarella, and cheese slices until melted.
  6. Add macaroni and pasta water; mix.

Notes

  • Keep heat low when adding cheese to prevent graininess.
  • Adjust seasoning to your preference.
